Robin Doyle (AKA what have i done now) is a visual artist I am working with to promote his provocative and beautiful work to new audiences locally and nationally. Robin is a Devon-based artist who works in a number of media. His pieces draw from many sources, including street art and the natural world. His work can be both challenging and provocative and strongly advocates non-violence, individualism and anarchy (in the true sense of the word: self-determination and personal responsibility) over corporate-sponsored war, collectivism and the ever-encroaching state. I am the Producer of The Very Thought by Rose Biggin. I am working with artist and writer Rose Biggin, dramaturg Liberty Martin, lighting designer Catherine Webb, and publicity designer Keir Cooper to develop this piece, build a tour for 2015, and workshop the play with other performers and dancers. By bringing pole dancing into the theatre space, we are bringing a personal, funny, humble story to audiences that challenges their understanding of an art form that embodies feminist debates about sex, women's bodies, exploitation, and empowerment. We make work that explores feminist themes though comedy and highly skilled, engaging performance.
